I believe that the person who is willing to accept the post of AR must develop a mind set to find solutions for various issues. Along the paths of the life garden

The life of a Sri Lankan working mom can be completely an unknown story to the world. She is facing many challenges with the current financial crisis in the country. But being a mother of two children my first priority is my family. My profession is the next priority to me. I try to get educational and professional qualifications targeting the professional development. But I always be careful to save my time for my family. I believe that If a mother is strong in all aspects of the life the children become more confident in their lives. Then a happy family affects to the quality of society. I am having a background with Buddhist philosophy and I want to focus more on other eastern philosophies in my 40s. Financial management is one of my interesting study area as it has a huge effect to my life in this crisis situation. I use my leisure time and holidays to be with nature alone or with my husband and two children only, Because it makes me relaxed and it helps to gather more energy to work ahead.

To where do I navigate

Lord Budhdha advised us to completely focus on the present moments to achieve better outcomes in the future. I am so grateful to every thing I have now. Everyday I get up early to spent few minutes alone to analyze about my goal achieving process. I assess my self and I revise my plans. I change my plans if requires.

Currently I am following a post graduate Diploma in Professional Practices in English at the Open University of Sri Lanka in order to improve my professional skills. Everyday I listen to relevant podcasts on Leadership, Time Management, effective communication, financial Management etc. in the morning while travelling to my work place . I actively engage with decision making at the management boards of the University. I refer relevant records and documents to enhance my knowledge on administration in the university. I always find time to engage with workshops important for my career development.

I do not like to trap in to routines. but I must find time to be with my family. Therefore I make time blocks for the entire to do list of a particular day. It includes everything from browsing social media to playing with kids to attending meetings. Its the best way I follow to reduce my stress. I am scared of being stressed. Because it is highly affected to my loved ones.

I was raised in a background highly influenced by the Buddhist philosophy. I was able to study Buddhist philosophy from my childhood. I always try to study on this philosophy and my next level action is studying weda, yoga and Sen philosophies.

We all must have knowledge on financial management to have a successful life. But I have not studied about it in school or in the University. I started studying on it and I was able to save money and earn more money other than my pay check. I am very much interested on clevergirlfinance.com and I study lot from Bola Sukhumbi and the team.

I love to grow different kinds of plants. My next level experience will be on edible landscaping. The greens can motivate me. I get energy when I am surrounded by greens and water. The sound of flowing water and sea brings my mind to calm position. I travel these beautiful places to give me a new beginning when I feel tired.
